Multiple Myeloma DREAM Challenge Reveals Epigenetic Regulator PHF19 as Marker of Aggressive Disease

This paper was the culmination of the Multiple Myeloma DREAM challenge, a crowdsourced effort to discover models of rapid progression in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients. We participated as collaborators of the organizers and our model had the best performance among the 171 predictive algorithms that were submitted. Our model found that PHF19 was one of the strongest predictors which was validated in knock down experiments of myeloma cell lines.
